Mulch made from 100% recycled tires

One of the items on sell at Sam’s Club Hawaii is Rubber Mulch, made from 100% recycled tires.

“It’s a mulch made from recycled tires – tires from Sam’s Club’s auto, TreadHunter and lube shop that, in the past, would have been be carted away. Now Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club have eliminated that cost, and turned it into a revenue center by selling the old tires to a company that turns them into what Wal-Mart says is a non-toxic, latex-free mulch that can be used for playgrounds, pools, pond areas or gardens.” ( http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/16/news/companies/gunther_walmart.fortune/)

 

The Rubber Mulch is made by a company called Liberty Tire Recycling.
