All Oahu, Kauai Public Schools Closed Friday 8/8/14

Public schools on Oahu and Kauai will be closed Friday because of the approaching storm, joining other public schools across the state that have already shut their doors, Superintendent Kathryn Matayoshi announced Thursday.

Campuses that are designated as emergency shelters are preparing for that role, she said

The Department of Education announced earlier that all public schools on Hawaii island and in Maui County are closed Thursday.
