Hawaiian Electric tree trimming work in Nānākuli

Contractors working for Hawaiian Electric Company will be trimming trees along Farrington Highway on Monday, Sept. 28. Tree trimming crews will be clearing palm fronds away from overhead power lines along the mauka side of the highway from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

For the safety of work crews and the public, the tree trimming will require that a portion of the right-hand lane (west-bound lane) be closed to traffic. The work will begin near Nānākuli Avenue and will move west during the morning, ending near St. John’s Road midday. Traffic control measures will be used to divert traffic around the work area.

Hawaiian Electric wants to advise the public about the partial road closure and apologizes for any inconvenience.
