Discover Preschool Day – 1/9/16

Lopaka Baptiste80Discover Preschool Day is an opportunity for families to learn about preschool programs and connect with early education resource providers that serve the Wai‘anae Coast.

This year, the event takes place on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Community Learning Center at Mā‘ili (CLC-M) Early Learning Kauhale. This is the third consecutive year for the preschool readiness event.

The free event is intended for families with keiki ages 0-4, looking for more information about registering their keiki for preschool and finding the resources available to help make preschool affordable and accessible.




Native Hawaiian Scholarship Aha at Waianae HS – 1/13/16

Lopaka Baptiste80Each year, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, the University of Hawai’i, Pacific Financial Aid Association, GEAR UP Hawai’i, and the Native Hawaiian Education Association sponsor a series of Native Hawaiian Scholarship ʻAha (Fairs) that are held across Hawai’i. The ʻaha help to connect students with millions of dollars in scholarship money that is available specifically to Native Hawaiians to help pay for college.
