LCC Waianae’s New Site!

Great news! LCC has begun the renovation on the permanent Education Center site at the Tycom Building in Maili. A Notice to Proceed has been given, construction should start by late February, and take about a year. When finished, they will have about 2,000 more square feet than they have now in Waianae. Plans are also funded and underway to add an additional 8,000 square feet as a Phase 2 project.

SB 2730       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO THE ANAHOLA HAWAIIAN HOMES ASSOCIATION. Appropriates funds for the planning, design, construction, and materials and equipment for the Anahola Hawaiian Homes Association.	HWN, WAM
SB 2762       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO THE KING KAMEHAMEHA CELEBRATION COMMISSION. Requires the state auditor to conduct a financial and management audit of the King Kamehameha celebration commission and submit a report of any findings or recommendations to the legislature.	HWN, WAM
SB 2763       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO THE KING KAMEHAMEHA CELEBRATION COMMISSION. Authorizes the use of general fund moneys to fund salaries for the King Kamehameha Celebration Commission.	HWN, WAM
SB 2806       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO THE KING KAMEHAMEHA CELEBRATION COMMISSION. Amends the membership of the King Kamehameha Celebration Commission.  Provides the chairperson of the commission with the authority to establish an advisory committee composed of past commission members to advise the chairperson on historical and archival background of the commission.  Amends the support staff function.  Amends the mission and purpose of the commission. SB 2946       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO INDIGENOUS HAWAIIAN ARCHITECTURE. Authorizes indigenous Hawaiian architecture on agricultural lands to be used for farm worker housing.	HWN, WLA
SB 3059       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO INDIGENOUS ARCHITECTURE. Allows any state or county agency to designate public and private lands under certain conditions for the construction of indigenous architecture.	HWN, WLA
SB 3029       Status & Testimony	RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS. Ensures the legislature fulfills its responsibility under article XII, section 1, of the state constitution by appropriating sufficient general funds for the administration and operating expenses of the department of Hawaiian home lands for fiscal year 2016–2017.
