Waianae Disaster Preparedness Fair – 04/23/16

Waianae Military Civilian Advisory Council (WMCAC) and the Waianae Coast Rotary Club (WCRC) were encouraged by the City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Emergency Management and the State of Hawaii’s Emergency Management Agency to take the lead and establish a team to implement the State’s Hawaii Hazard Awareness & Resilience Program (HHARP).  They conduct monthly HHARP workshops and the ultimate goal is to design a comprehensive disaster readiness plan for the Ahupua’a of Nanakuli, Lualualei, Maili, Waianae and Mahaha/Makua.
