Case Manager – Oahu
P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc. is looking for a Case Manager to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (may include nights and weekends) to further our mission of strengthening families and promoting cycles of positive parenting.
The Case Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining all program participants on the island of Oahu, as well as providing parenting education and support services through the instruction and application of agency-approved parenting education curriculum. The Case Manager is also responsible for managing and maintaining participant databases and case files.
The Case Manager must work cooperatively and effectively with the Program Director and Parent Educators and must have the knowledge, skills and ability to work with a wide range of individuals, community groups and systems of care. Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision, as well as adhere to all company policies and contractual requirements.
All applicants must be honest, responsible, detail-oriented, organized and model appropriate behavior and professional skills to both staff and program participants.
Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development or related field, from an accredited institution. Minimum of 1 year of experience in working with families at risk for child abuse and neglect.
Preferred Requirements: A Master’s degree in Social Work, experience teaching adults in a group setting and the ability to provide a long-term commitment to the position.
Due to contractual requirements with the Department of Human Services, any applicant who does not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered for the position.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and have the ability to travel frequently to all areas of Oahu. If applicant owns a motor vehicle, they must be able to retain appropriate levels of insurance as mandated by company policy.

Parent Educator – Oahu
P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc. is seeking a part-time Parent Educator to teach group, community-based parenting education classes once per week for a minimum of 3 hours. Sessions are two hours long, and hours include 1 hour of prep/paperwork time. Classes are held on Mondays from 3:30-5:30pm on Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. Base access is not required and can be provided once hired. In addition to the weekly class in Kaneohe, applicants must also be willing to be a backup Parent Educator for the other classes on an as-needed and as-available basis.
All applicants must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, trustworthy and able to work without direct supervision. Paperwork requirements must be met on or before established deadlines. Applicants must be able to pass required background checks and must be able to travel to all areas of the island.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education or other Human Services disciplines. 1 year of experience working with families who are part of the child abuse and neglect system, 1 year of experience working with adult learners, and at least 1 year of experience with military families.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work or other Human Services disciplines listed above.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $16 – $23 per hour.
